While it isn’t feasible for most people to go to Disney World every time they crave their favorite treat, the struggle is definitely real and the urge to visit the world of Mickey and Friends is incredibly tempting. Thankfully, you can bring a little of the magic of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge set-up home with you thanks to the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel and Marc Sumerak.
There is something about the Star Wars franchise that just captures the imagination as few other movie series have. Reaching back decades, the movies and entire empire of films, scores, books, and other media have encircled multiple generations of fans in its immersive world, creating something fantastical yet very real to those who adore it.
Even Disney has taken note of this incredible pull, going so far as to purchase the title and create Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at its theme park locations. Providing some of the most incredible Disney craftsmanship and immersion to date, the incredible feature has drawn massive crowds and is all around a big hit. This is in part, at least, due to the incredible snacks and drinks you can find in this section of the park.
Out of This World Snacks and More

This amazing cookbook makes creating some of the galaxy’s finest fare right in your own kitchen a breeze. By channeling the complexities Disney is known for, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge official cookbook brings that magic to your table in a much more simplified, easy-to-follow way.
The foods are delicious and mimic those from the parks, allowing you to curate entire dinner events based around Star Wars or simply have an intergalactic meal for one. The possibilities are endless and you can easily customize the recipes to suit your tastes and preferences, too!
A Small Concern
While the recipes are great and provide alternatives to the park foods and general Star Wars fare that can be done at home through interesting techniques like using avocado to make green gnocchi or butterfly pea tea to create blue foods, there is a lack of seasoning in this book.
This may be because it focuses more on creating a narrative and providing a sort of “food adventure” that is meant to be customized and tweaked but if you leave many of the recipes as is, you will likely be a bit disappointed. Throw in some extra seasoning and experiment to create your own perfect flavor experience!
Aside from this, it is all in all a solid cookbook that is perfect for any lover of Star Wars!
